If nothing else can be said about this Fighter, EX Goku BLU has staying power. Despite his age, his primary Offensive stat remains competitive, and his toolkit is timeless. All this is made especially viable by his Tag--Saiyans may share the spotlight from time to time, but they are never in another Tag’s shadow.
That being said, EX Goku BLU does show his age in a few areas. The deterioration of his other stats has made him a glass cannon, which does not mesh well with his Unique Ability, which only comes into play if he’s the last Fighter alive.
Overall, this is a solid Fighter, whose Tags and versatile Abilities have stood the test of time.
Optimized For Melee
This Fighter was tailor-made for hand-to-hand combat. Every single one of his Abilities Buffs Strike Damage, his held Arts Cards are optimized, and his Strike Attack stat is still very competitive--even among SP Fighters.
As mentioned previously, all of EX Goku BLU’s Abilities Buff Strike Damage. Two of those are Team-wide Buffs, being his Main Ability and Saiyan Tagged Z-Ability. This makes him a great Fighter to start with before activating his Main Ability and switching to another Melee Fighter once EX Goku BLU burns through his Ki gauge.
While his Strike Attack is still highly competitive, the same can’t be said for his Health, Defense, and Ki Recovery Speed. This means that he probably won’t be able to get enough punches in before he’s killed or has to be switched out. This is even more of a drawback when taking his Unique Ability into account, which requires that he be the last Fighter alive to even take effect.
This wasn’t as big a deal back when there were fewer Fighters to compete with, but now his stats are beginning to show their age.
It’s strange that this is a Saiyan--a Goku variant too--and he has such limited Equip options. Element group appears to be the biggest factor here since other Gokus don’t have this problem.
EX Goku BLU is a classic Fighter without all the bells and whistles. He does the job he was made to do and even Buffs Teammates. He fits very well within his Tag. Because of his glass cannon stats and Strike Buffing Abilities, it’s recommended to play EX Goku BLU alongside another Melee Fighter.
While there aren’t many high tier Blue Saiyans, EX Goku BLU would be a great off-color Fighter in a Majority Yellow or Purple Team. Even if the Entire Team isn’t composed entirely of Saiyans--SP DK Piccolo YEL is a fantastic Melee Fighter who debuffs Enemies when he’s switched in and would definitely benefit from EX Goku BLU’s Main Ability temporary Buff--having at least two would be enough to make his Z-Ability worthwhile. A good choice to round out this Color-Counter Team would be SP Kid Gohan YEL.

He delivers a near flawless combination of a top-tier Strike stats, two Strike Arts Cards, and a set of all Damage Buffs that make him one of the best Melee Style Fighters in the game.
Power creep in the Saiyan Tag makes him less viable.
EX Goku BLU can best be compared to SP LSSJ Broly BLU but succeeds him in almost every Offensive metric. His perfect combination of base Strike Attack and all Damage Buffs mean he can tear through just about anyone.
His Z-Ability and Saiyan Tag are both powerful and versatile, making him a capable starter or a must-have bench Fighter.
