The recent popularity of the Hybrid Saiyan Tag previously overlooked EX Fighters like this one. But EX Kid Goten BLU have more to offer in PVP, now. His stats have stayed competitive even against SP Fighters and new releases. High Defense stats also mean he can withstand a few hits, making him great for maintaining a lead.
Buffs are great, but Enemy debuffs are truly satisfying, and EX Kid Goten BLU accomplishes both with special attention to Ki management for controlling the Combat Loop.
However, he does come with his limitations. This Fighter’s Abilities make Synergizing and Team building a little difficult.
Optimized For Melee
EX Kid Goten BLU is a Melee Fighter who’s primary role is Damage Dealing. He excels at this through stats that are competitive even among SP Rarities, and his high Defenses mean he won’t go down after a few hits. Four of his Abilities Buff Strike Attack and the other two increase his already impressive Ki Recovery Speed for executing long and powerful Combos.
Even if EX Kid Goten BLU finds his hand full of Blast Arts Cards, his Main Ability allows him to draw a Strike Arts Card to better optimize his time on the field.
Hybrid Saiyans are gaining popularity in the Meta, meaning a well-rounded Fighter like this is viable in PVP. While his Z-Ability doesn’t directly benefit Hybrid Saiyans, his Enemy debuffing Extra Move will help in gaining control of the Combat Loop.
While it isn’t that hard to kill two birds with one stone by Teaming him up with SP SSJ Kid Trunks YEL or EX Kid Trunks BLU, only the second option would benefit from his Z-Ability and both are Ranged Fighters meaning that EX Kid Goten BLU wouldn't have many Strike Arts Cards available in the deck. As it is, there are very few Blue Hybrid Saiyans and EX Kid Goten BLU is the only one strong in Strike.
Putting EX Kid Goten BLU in a PVP competitive Team that fully benefits from his Z-Ability means sacrificing one or both of his Unique Abilities, but satisfying both Unique Ability requirements means his Z-Ability goes unused.
Blue Fighters don’t have many Equip options and neither do Hybrid Saiyans. This Fighter is lucky to have more golds than silvers to choose from, but that doesn’t guarantee they will all meet his needs.

Hybrid Saiyan Kids
Even if his Z-Ability doesn’t help the Tag, EX Kid Goten BLU brings a lot to the table through his Self-buffing and Enemy debuff. For this Tag, it would be best to Team him up with SP SSJ Kid Trunks YEL and SP Kid Gohan YEL. Both have Tagged Z-Abilities, Blue and Yellow Fighters pair well together, and their held Arts Cards balance out.
Under the right circumstances, this Team would fulfill both Unique requirements and include a second Blue Melee Fighter to Synergize with EX Kid Goten BLU. SP SSJ Kid Trunks YEL is still an excellent choice for off-color Fighter with SP SSJ Goku BLU filling the second Melee slot. This Build also has balanced Arts Cards, with SP SSJ Kid Trunks YEL starting the match and SP SSJ Goku BLU finishing it.
