Krillin is the kind of character that fans love to hate, and his reputation as a weak fighter has carried through into Dragon Ball legends.
He got Buffed from the third balance update, and while his toolkit is interesting and he’s a great bench choice for Red color counter Teams, there isn’t much else about this Fighter that provides utility for Players in PVP.
These sort of Moves can buy time and are great to stop an Enemy from dashing in for a close-range Attack. This works against both Strike and Melee based Special Moves.
While the Damage Buffs are relatively minor EX Krillin RED’s Special Move has a sizable 70% chance of inflicting Bleed, making him a great Fighter to grind for Friendship so that HE Shallot LGT can make use of it.
Not Very Supportive
Despite being a Support Fighter, a lot of his Abilities are self Buffs. His Main Ability heals a lot, but only his own meager Health stat and his Unique Ability only improves his Ki Recovery Speed if all three Teammates are alive.
Both of these Buffs would be really useful for the Team, but they are wasted on him.
While there are plenty of powerful Red Fighters who could benefit from a little extra Blast Defense, EX Krillin RED’s Z-Ability doesn’t Buff by much, and since it only improves one stat, it’s recommended to replace him with EX Android #17 RED since he also Buffs Blast Attack at all star levels.
Farmable to 7 stars with a Team Healing Main Ability.
While the third balance update boosted his stats, his viability beyond color counter Team bench support is still hurt by a lack of Synergizing Tags.
EX Krillin RED has pretty good stats for an EX Fighter and Enemy Debuffs like Flash and Bleed are extremely helpful and supportive, but he just doesn’t hold a candle to the Red SP Fighters he currently needs to compete with.
