SP Android #17 PUR is a Defensive Fighter with impressive stats and a Cover Unique Ability. His Barrier Extra Move is perfect for when Vanish-Step is charging because it an stop everything but Rising Rushes.
While his Blast Attack is no longer impressive, his Defensive stats continue to remain PVP competitive, which means he remains a good option for Android Teams and Purple Color Counters.
Both Defense stats remain some of the highest in the game, which is nothing to sneeze at for such an old Fighter. He also has an Extra Move which can block everything but Rising Rushes. This coupled a Unique Ability that reduces Damage against Fighters when SP Android #18 PUR switches in makes for a powerful Tank who can take a lot of Damage and still won't go down.
It's a shame that all these Defense buffs are hampered by an underwhelming Health stat. Due to how Health values are handled in Dragon Ball Legends, this is a huge issue for a Fighter who’s supposed to be all about Defense.
Barrier's Cost Increases
Between how rare it is to draw Extra Arts Cards and Barrier's cost increase of 5 with every use to a maximum of 25, it's unlikely to come into play very often in a single match.
Android teams are pretty good; they have enough Z-Abilities and bench Fighters to make a full-fledged Tag Team. SP Android #17 PUR is definitely a great choice to bring into a match.
The downside to keep in mind however, is that he doesn't have an Android Buffing Z-Ability, so if he isn't in the core, he won't make a very good bench Fighter.
Whether he’s on the bench or core, SP Android #17 PUR fits perfectly among Purple Majority Teams. He Boosts Blast Attack and Defense for all Teammates.
This Fighter makes for an essential Defensive utility to the entire Team.
SP Android #17 PUR has a wealth of options for Equipment, but one thing remains for certain: “…it seems we miscalculated” remains at the top. As a Tank with very strong Blast Attack, he should almost certainly use this Equip.
Deals major Slice damage. Causes enemies to receive 20% more Strike damage for 15 timer counts. 40% chance to inflict Paralyze.
Nullifies enemy attacks, excluding certain moves like Rising Rush. If enemy is at close range while attacks are nullified, they will be knocked back to long range. +5 cost to own Special Arts cost per use (max +15).
