Overview

This Cell variant is the self-proclaimed “Super Perfect” form of Cell after he self-destructed during his fight with Gohan in Cell Saga Z. He was able to survive and due to the Zenkai boost, came back better than ever.

SP Perfect Cell YEL brings a hellacious and unforgiving Offensive toolkit  with a few tricks up his sleeve that aid his durability. Most notably, he has access to Cover: Rescue, which completely negates any incoming Damage once.

His Main Ability draws his Ultimate Arts card, Solar Kamehameha, which is the move he used in his iconic Kamehameha battle with Gohan. Also akin to the anime, he gets a multitude of Buffs when he hops into the battlefield, showcasing the newfound power gained from nearly dying thanks to his Saiyan cells.

All in all, SP Perfect Cell YEL is an incredibly oppressive Fighter that can put almost anyone down and keep them there.

Strengths

You Look Surprised…

SP Perfect Cell YEL’s Unique Ability is what makes him such a nuisance to play against. His Blast Arts cost is reduced by 5 which cannot be canceled, but much more powerful are the Buffs and Debuffs he can inflict when switched into the battlefield.

When he enters, he receives a 45% Damage inflicted Buff for 15 timer counts, seals an Enemy Card for 10 timer counts, and gradually Restores his own Health for a whopping 60 timer counts.

Whether he’s being switched in for Offensive or Defensive reasons, this Unique Ability provides him with a variety of advantages that can change the momentum of the Match in an instant.

Cover: Rescue

A trick he learned from SP SSJ Goku GRN after  absorbing his cells was instant transmission, which comes in the form of Cover:Rescue in Dragon Ball Legends.

This completely negates all Damage – including Rising Rush – when he’s switched into a Combo. This remains one of the most powerful and potentially game-changing Cover variants in the entire game.

Solar Kamehameha

His Main Ability draws his Ultimate Move, Solar Kamehameha.

Solar Kamehameha does massive Damage, increases his Damage inflicted by 25% when activated, and has the game-changing 20% chance of inflicting Faint. This is beyond deadly if it lands and even if the Enemy survives, there’s a chance he will be immobilized for several timer counts.

Weaknesses

Z-Ability Summoning Struggle

SP Perfect Cell YEL Buffs Android Strike Attack initially, which is upgraded to also Buff Regeneration Strike Attack at 5 stars. Androids aren't currently Meta relevant and since he only Buffs the one stat, grinding him to 5 stars is rarely worth the effort.

He does fit into Regeneration Teams very well, but in order to Buff the rest of his Teammates, he has be summoned at least 4 times. Getting SP Perfect Cell YEL to reach his full potential takes a lot of summoning and a lot of Chrono Crystals.

Strong Opposition

He was released alongside SP SSJ2 Gohan RED, who not only has a color advantage over him, but takes 20% less Damage from Regeneration Fighters as well. This is a very hard matchup for SP Perfect Cell YEL and potentially hurts his viability in Regeneration Teams. SP Zamasu RED also provides a difficult matchup for him and is currently one of the more popular Fighters in the game.

SP Perfect Cell YEL will be hard pressed to have a color advantage against the most popular Fighter in the entire game--SP SSJ Broly PUR--due to the fact that the latter can negate color disadvantage twice.

He still can destroy any Fighter in a neutral setting, but finding the opportunity might seem increasingly difficult since Players are likely to play around SP Perfect Cell YEL because of how powerful he is.

Team Synergy

Regeneration

He only Buffs their Strike Attack after 5 stars, but can still fit into the Team as their primary Yellow Fighter, regardless of his star level' due to the sheer Damage he can put out.

Future

All Cell variants are classed as Future Fighters, which can be a forgotten aspect about him. While he has a ton of Yellow competition on this Team, he can still be added with the bonus of Buffing SP Zamasu RED through his Z-Ability.

Android

While this Tag is still in dire need of help, he does give them a Strike Attack Buff right off the bat. He’s a much better fit in the other Teams but his release is still progress for this Tag returning to the Meta.
