The release of SP Lord Slug BLU and SP Perfect Cell YEL confirms Regeneration’s return to Meta relevance. Where the Tag previously lacked a strong Offensive presence, they now have two more Melee Fighters to assert their presence in PVP.
He doesn’t do anything to Buff the Team beyond his Z-Ability, but his flexible Damage Buffs and Enemy Debuffs more than make-up for this.
Dragon Ball Thief
While his Extra Move only has a 30% chance of stealing one of the Enemy’s dragon balls, his Main Ability draws the Extra Move Arts Card. And that’s not the only thing this Move does—as a long-range Move it can also cancel Enemy Attacks and increase the Strike Damage they receive.
Massive Damage Buffs
Between his Main Ability and Innate Power Unique Ability, SP Lord Slug BLU’s Strike Damage is Boosted by 65% after 30 timer counts and drops down to 25% after his Main Ability effects wear off.
Even without these two, “Super Namekian Power!” grants 30% to 50% in Strike Damage Buffs depending on the state of his Health—and this effect only resets when he’s switched out of Combat and reappears when he’s switched back in.
Up to Chance
Paralysis and dragon ball theft are great, but they are each left to change with 40% and 30% odds, respectively. This isn’t terrible, but it makes the more tactical aspects of his toolkit less predictable.
With the exception of Health and Strike Attack, all of his stats are average of below. This means his Damage Buffs have to work that much harder.
This Build is where SP Lord Slug BLU is strongest. There are tons of Tanks so his less than stellar Defenses aren’t so much of a drawback and with so many Team Healers in this Tag, his high Health stat will go a long way.
SP Lord Slug BLU isn’t the only Regeneration Sagas Warrior, but Fighters who fall under both categories are scarce. This means a combination Team isn’t out of the question, but it probably won’t be as strong as the main Sagas Warrior Team.
SP Lord Slug BLU is a Melee Fighter, but has a reasonable Blast Attack to go along with it, making this is a great Offensive choice.

His dragon ball theft and Paralysis are really powerful and definitely give him a place on most Regeneration Teams, but the low odds of these effects actually being activated hurt him tactically.
He has tons of potent and flexible Strike Damage Buffs, but his base Strike Attack stat is pretty average.
SP Lord Slug BLU is a great addition to the Regeneration Team and has so much Synergy with them--so what holds him back from Z Tier? His Offensive output is a bit lower than the Meta favors. His Damage modifiers are not quite enough.
