This Fighter is part of a star trio with incredible amounts of Synergy that absolutely needs him to reach their full potential.
But SP SSJ2 Trunks is by no means a weak link in all of this. Not only does he provide Team Support, but he can also Heal himself several times throughout a Match without costing any Ki.
It’s incredibly rare for a Fighter to be released with so much Synergy with a relatively new Tag like Future, but that’s just what SP SSJ2 Trunks BLU got in his fellow Future Tag releases.
Using his Main Ability, SP SSJ2 Trunks BLU can increase Team Damage by a whopping 20% and remove Debuffs.
This is on top of a whole toolkit filled with Damaged Buffs and even when forced to use a Strike Attack, this Ranged Fighter won’t become a liability because his Strike Attacks have a 50% chance of inflicting Bleed.
Because of how often SP SSJ2 Trunks BLU needs to switch in and out to get the most out of his Abilities, it’s good to know he won’t be a liability in Combat.
Last Man Standing
While Crisis-like Abilities are often a bonus for some Fighters, that is not the case with SP SSJ2 Trunks BLU because of how his other Unique Ability works.
He gains Damage and Health Buffs from frequent Fighter switching, so Flame of Hope’s increased Ki Recovery for each dead Teammate seems more like a small reward for a huge loss.
Everything about this trio synergizes from their toolkits to their Synergy.
They all gain something from frequent switching, and since SP SSJ Gohan YEL and SP Mai GRN need a Trunks variant Teammate to maximize their potential, SP SSJ2 Trunks BLU fits right in.
Players who don’t have the complete trio can still call back on a Hybrid Saiyan Build.
While not as strong as it used to be, there are still plenty of Fighters like SP SSJ Kid Goten GRN have Trunks variant requiring Unique Abilities, so he will always be needed somewhere.

Blast Attack for a Ranged Fighter is self-explanatory. SP SSJ2 Trunks BLU is quite resilient, so Strike Defense in the last slot is great as well.

+40% to Blast damage inflicted for 10 timer counts every time this character enters the battlefield. Restores own health by 10% when this character is switched to standby. Restores own Ki by 20 when this character evades enemy attack with a Vanishing Step.
