Overview

SP SSJ2 Youth Gohan RED arrives with a very powerful kit and the manga faithful Legendary Finish.

While his Tags keep him out of Super Saiyan Teams, SP SSJ2 Youth Gohan RED is a perfect addition and will be a cornerstone for both Hybrid Saiyan and Son Family Teams in the immediate future.

Overall, this is an Offensive juggernaut with various Damage Boosting Unique Abilities, a lifesaving Cover-like Ability, and reduced Damage from Regeneration Fighters.

Strengths

Destructive Offensive Force

Offensively, SP SSJ2 Gohan RED has a lot of things going for him. He gets a Damage Boost ranging from 30% to 60% depending on how many Teammates have been defeated, and he gets a 15% Blast Damage Boost for 15 timer counts every time he uses a Blast Card. He also gets a 25% Blast Damage Boost after activating his "Turn Regret into Power" Unique Ability.

While Blast has always been Offensively inefficient compared to Strike, SP SSJ2 Youth Gohan RED's Blast Cards only cost 24 Ki. Considering this and all his Self-Boosts, he’ll be able to consistently inflict high amounts of Damage.

Additionally, having a Goku variant on the Team increases the Damage output of his Ultimate Move. In fact, if an allied Goku gets defeated, it's Boosted high enough to potentially land a one hit kill.

High Survivability

SP SSJ2 Youth Gohan RED has good Defensive stats and some great Abilities to make him a durable Fighter.

His Cover-esque Ability allows him to reduce Damage received by 40% on top of the Damage deduced from Regeneration Fighters by 20%, which is very useful in the current Meta--he’s the perfect counter for SP Perfect Cell YEL.

He also can Heal by 30% thanks to his Main Ability--which also cancels unfavorable Element factors for 20 timer counts if one Teammate has died--making him pretty tough to defeat, all things considered.

Weaknesses

The Cost of Range

While SP SSJ2 Youth Gohan’s kit makes him one of the best Fighters in the game, his held Blast Arts Cards could cause a few problems.

They work very well with his own Abilities, but the presence of additional Blast Cards is bothersome for Fighters whose Blast Damage is not as high as his. Blast Arts Cards have historically been hard to use without reduced Card cost as well, so while he makes great use of them in a Match, others might not.

Team Synergy

Son Family

He synergizes very well with this Team, especially thanks to the fact that he can be paired with a Goku variant here. SP SSJ2 Youth Gohan RED is now a staple of this Team as a Damage dealer and Tank.

Hybrid Saiyan

Like Son Family, this Team mainly lacks Support Fighters. However, this Fighter is a fantastic fit. It’s worth noting that the core of this Team is currently composed of Son Family Fighters, so it's basically a weaker version of Son Family.

Red Color Counter

SP SSJ2 Youth Gohan RED fits very well with this Team since there are a lot of Red Son Family options for Teammates. It's also more durable than his other options if SP Zamasu RED is picked instead.

Draw the Ultimate Arts Card "Father-Son Kamehameha" next. Restores own health by 30% and Ki by 50. Nullifies own unfavorable Element factors for 20 timer counts if there is a defeated battle member. Requirements: 25 timer counts must elapse.

Unique Ability

I'll give it my best!

The following effects occur per defeated battle member. +30% to damage inflicted. +20% to own Ki Recovery. +100% to Ultimate damage inflicted if allied "Character: Goku" is defeated.
