Overview

It's kind of difficult to gauge SP SSJ Bardock BLU’s lasting viability.

Arts Card draw speed manipulation is losing some of its rarity as a mechanic, and like Ki Recovery and Vanish Step Speed, it’s importance is likely to fluctuate as more Fighters are released and game-wide mechanics change.

This means he could become very powerful and Meta relevant in the future or quickly fall into obscurity. Beyond that he has a toolkit full of Damage Buffs and Enemy Debuffs, making for a Fighter to look out for in PVP.

Strengths

Deck Master

SP SSJ Bardock BLU has an interesting toolkit that puts emphasis on draw speeds and Arts Card Costs. His Main Ability increases his Arts Card draw speed and Draws his Ultimate Arts Card which when used decreases Enemy draw rates. His primary Unique Ability also reduces Strike and Blast Arts Cards by 5

The Golden Saiyan

SP SSJ Bardock BLU is extremely powerful in his own right but also makes Super Saiyan Teammates just as devastating. SP SSJ Bardock BLU gives them an increase in Damage inflicted but even more game-changing, a whopping 70% increase to Critical Damage and a 30% increase to Critical Rate when he is switched out.

Even a single Critical Hit can be too much for the Enemy Fighter to overcome. This mechanic alone has made “You'll Pay arguably the best Equip in the game and any SP SSJ Bardock BLU centric Team incredibly oppressive to play against.

Weaknesses

Contradictory Extra Move

Everything about SP SSJ Bardock BLU’s toolkit seems to be geared towards him inflicting as much Damage as humanly possible. However, his Extra Move does the exact opposite--Healing him for 10% of his max Health and removing Attribute Downgrades.

While not the worst thing in the world--in many cases it can be an advantage--it’s a bit off-putting for him to have a Defensive Extra instead of one for Buffing either his own Damage or that of his Teammates.

Dash Melee Special Move

Unlike Ranged Special Moves, Dash Melee Special Moves cannot override Ki Blasts or other Special Moves, making it an incredibly risky proposition to use SP SSJ Bardock BLU’s Special Move outside of a Combo.

Team Synergy

Super Saiyan

There aren’t many Super Saiyan Z-Abilities in the game currently, but as mentioned before, putting SP SSJ Bardock BLU in an otherwise Hybrid Super Saiyan Team to have his Unique Ability requirements be met and the rest of the Team benefits from his Z-Ability.

The downside to this would be filling the bench of some of the core with Color locked Z-Buffs. SP SSJ Bardock BLU’s stats are mostly in the high Average range, so he would definitely need a little assistance.

Color Counter

Whether he’s the off Color fill or a primary Fighter in a Blue Color Counter Team, SP SSJ Bardock BLU would be a great fit in this Build.
