SP SSJG Goku RED arrives an excellent all-around toolkit as well as the introduction of a new Tag: God Ki.
He has a multitude of Abilities that can sustain his longevity both in a PVP Match settings and immediately brings the God Ki Tag Synergy through his Z-Ability.
His primary Tag hasn't gotten many new releases yet, and while he still plays really well in a Saiyan Team, SP SSJG Goku RED might be power crept before God Ki gets enough Fighters for a six stack.
Jack Of All Trades
SP SSJG Goku RED does a little bit of everything, nullifying any Debuffs and Abnormal Condition effects up to two times, and removing Enemy Attribute Buffs.
He also has a Crisis-esque Unique Ability, making him a reliable Fighter both Offensively and Defensively.
Whether it’s his inexpensive Extra Move which increases Ki Recovery Speed or his Unique Ability, which gives him an extra 50% to when it gets below 30, he will almost always have access to enough Ki before or after a Combo, allowing him to keep immense amounts of pressure on the Enemy.
Master of None
While a solid all-around Fighter, he lacks that devastating Damage that is currently running rampant among the popular Fighters in PVP.
Despite having access to an Ultimate Move, its primary function is more about tactics than Damage. He also suffers from average Defense. All of this can make him feel a bit lackluster.
Throwing him into a standard Saiyan Team regardless of how well their Z-Ability works with the rest of the Team is not the worst thing in the world.
Ideally, SP SSJG Goku RED would perform much better with other God Ki Fighters that would not only receive his invaluable Health Buff Z-Ability but Buff him in return.
In this Team, he forms an especially interesting duo with SP Kaioken Goku BLU, who’s Z-Ability at 5 stars gives a whopping 30% to Strike Attack and Defense to any Son Family Fighters.
This is great since SP SSJG Goku RED’s toolkit is slightly more geared towards that.
While his Z-Ability doesn’t help anyone on the Team, he still has a place here if the Player is missing key Fighters. As a Goku variant, if he’s killed, he can provide SP SSJ Kid Goten PUR and SP SSJ Teen Gohan BLUwith a huge Blast and Strike Attack Buff, respectively.
27% Strike Attack is just too good to pass up, especially since his Strike Attack stat is reasonably high as it is.

The following effects activate when battle begins: Applies Buff Effect: "Nullify Attribute Downgrades up to 2 times" to self. Applies Buff Effect: "Nullify Abnormal Conditions up to 2 times" to self. +50% to own Ki Recovery for 5 timer counts when Ki is 30 or lower after using an Arts Card.
+30% to damage inflicted when a "Tag: Saiyan" other than this character is a battle member. +30% to Strike damage inflicted & restores own health by 30% when 2 allies are downed.
When Teamed up with a Saiyan, SP SSJG Goku RED packs a punch thanks to his incredible second Unique Ability.
He also has a very inexpensive and helpful Extra Move that can set up his powerful Ultimate Move to deliver massive Damage to the Enemy.
With his immunity to status effects and how central status effects are to the new Future Tag Fighters, SP SSJG Goku RED just became a whole lot more valuable. While the God Ki Tag is showing promise, there aren't enough of them to build a Team around yet.
