The long-awaited Super Saiyan Blue Goku is finally here in the form of SP SSB Goku BLU. God Ki is finally big enough to build a Team with. Similar to SP SSJ3 Goku PUR, this Fighter only gets stronger the longer the match goes on--but SP SSB Goku BLU is no glass cannon.
From Defensive to Offensive
This Fighter’s Damage output, Ki Recovery, and Draw Speed steadily increases the longer the Match takes to be won.
Since this is likely to make him a target early on, SP SSB Goku BLU also reduced Damage received by 35% for the first 45 timer counts and can even self-Heal through his Extra Move.
Tons of Synergy
SP SSB Goku BLU is sitting comfortably in three strong Tags: Son Family, God Ki, and Saiyan. This gives him some protection from power creep, plenty of Team options, and Equip options.
It’s hard to find fault in this one, but it would have been nice for him to have the Super Saiyan Tag.
All his stats are pretty high, but none break top 10, which drives home the fact that Team’s he’s on should also have a Fighter whose Buffed up right away.
This Tag got a flood of new Fighters and SP SSB Goku BLU is an excellent addition because he excels at every type of Damage.
While he gains a lot from this Team, SP SSB Goku BLU doesn’t really give anything back and with SP Gogeta BLU being the go-to Blue Fighter, SP SSB Goku BLU is a second option here.
Having both a Main Ability that DrawsanUltimateArtsCard and a kit built for match long Buffs allows SP SSB Goku BLU to breathe fresh life into Son Family.
Instead of keeping a Goku variant in battle until he perishes, now every Team Member holds an Ultimate Arts Card, which makes selecting a Rising Rush target that much harder for the opposition.
He’s categorized as a Ranged Fighter but his Strike Attack is just as good. This Equip is excellent because it patches up his Blast Defense, which is slightly worse than his Strike Defense and gives him Strike Attack to go along with it.
This is excellent for a massive Boost to Strike Attack, but “Let's Go, Vegeta!” is great for a more Blast oriented focus. Alternatively, “It's All up to my Fists!” is a great utility choice that helps his Ultimate Move hurt that much more.
I'll Hit You with All I've Got!
Draw the Ultimate Arts Card "God Kamehameha" next. Restores own Vanishing Gauge by 100%. Requirements: 25 timer counts must elapse.
Now We're Really Fighting!
+15% to damage inflicted when battle begins. The following effects occur depending on the number of timer counts elapsed since the start of the battle: 20 counts elapsed: +15% to damage inflicted and +15% to own Ki Recovery. 40 counts elapsed: +15% to damage inflicted and +15% to own Ki Recovery. 60 counts elapsed: +15% to damage inflicted and increases Arts Card Draw Speed by 1 level.
Sorry, But It's My Turn Now
The following effects occur from battle start for 45 timer counts: Reduces damage received by 35%. Nullifies own Attribute Downgrades and Abnormal Conditions.
SP SSB Goku BLU does just about everything. He’s hard to catch due to his Main Ability restoring Vanish Gauge entirely, but he’s fairly durable as well even if he manages to get caught. He also deals huge amounts of Damage and progressively gets better the longer the Match goes on. God Ki has an exceptional group of core Fighters and multiple dual Z-Abilities, making them arguably the best Team in the game at the moment.
