Where to Obtain
SP SSJG Vegeta YEL from the Dragon Ball: Super Broly Movie has arrived and not only brings his aesthetically pleasing God Heat Flash Special Move, but enough Strike Attack to pound anyone into dust.
Everything about this Fighter’s toolkit is geared towards improving his Strike Attack, and he does that in spades whether it’s his Unique Ability, Main Ability, or Extra Move.
Maybe most notably of all is his “Cross-Armed Guard” Cover-like Ability. When changing cover, he reduces Damage received by 40% and applies Strike and Blast Armor, meaning he’ll be able to break the Combo. While this definitely improves his generally poor Defenses, SP SSJG Vegeta YEL will need a lot of Team Support.
His held Strike Arts Cards--and really his entire toolkit-- drive home the fact that this Fighter was built for Strike Damage. He also has the stats to back it up, with some of the highest Strike Attack in the entire game.
His Cover Ability can be a real game-changer, considering it breaks Combos. While it does come with a +5 substitution count, the fact that he can reduce Damage by 40% and break Combos – which in turn prevents a Rising Rush -- makes it well worth it.
SSP SSJG Vegeta YEL wants Strike Damage and a whole lot of it. Luckily, he gets access to Equips that give him exactly that with some very high Ki Recovery and Defense Buffs to go along with it.
While his Strike Attack is among some of the best in the game, his Blast Attack leaves a lot to be desired. His toolkit does nothing in the way of Buffing Blast Attack and his Blast Attack stat is very low to boot. What’s worse is that while he does have some Abilities to reduce Damage received, that doesn’t entirely make up for some really poor Defensive stats.
He’s going to need a lot of Team Support to stay in the Match for very long and unfortunately, his Tags don’t have a lot of Supportive Fighters.
Z-Ability Summoning Struggle
Continuing with the recent trend of newer SP Fighters having an upgraded Z-Ability at 5 stars, SP SSJG Vegeta YEL is no different. What makes his particular upgrade unfortunate, is that he doesn’t get the Offensive stat Buff of his Z-Ability until 5 stars, which is what a Melee Fighter like him really needs.
Summoning him multiple times is a lot and not worth it for many Players.
While he does have a bit of survivability with his Cover and Extra Move, stat wise his Health isn’t that great, and his Defenses are even worse. If his Damage mitigating Abilities are not available to him, he’s very susceptible to taking a beating.
Similar to the Saiyan recommendation, he doesn’t Buff the Tag personally but can still be used as a Yellow if need be.
This Tag is still growing, but this will likely be SP SSJG Vegeta YEL’s permanent home in time seeing as his Z-Ability works well with them and his dual Strike Arts Cards can help offset SP GoD Beerus GRN’s dual Blast Arts Cards.

It’s almost as if this Equip was made with SP SSJG Vegeta YEL in mind. It gives Strike Attack, Strike Defense, and Blast Defense, which is perfect for a one dimensional and fragile Fighter like him.

SP SSJG Vegeta YEL desperately needs the Defenses from this Equip to keep him afloat. Luckily it comes with a sizeable Boost to Strike as well.
+40% to Strike damage inflicted for 25 timer counts. -5 to own Strike Arts cost for 25 timer counts. Requirements: 5 timer counts must elapse.
