What SP SSJ Goku BLU’s stat sheet won’t reveal is how absolutely satisfying he is to use. His animations--including but not limited to Win Pose, Strike Attack, Extra Move, and Special Move – look incredible.

That being said, his Move-Set is a little unique. He’s a Crisis Fighter– at his best when the Team is at its worst.

Crisis Abilities aren’t bad to have, but SP SSJ Goku BLU gets into trouble because his entire power allocation for Extra Move, Special Move, Unique Abilities Main Ability are focused on delivering a single lethal blow. This could be huge if set up properly in a one on one matchup but it’s truly difficult and costly, requiring the use of multiple Extra Moves as well as his Main Ability to reach optimal Damage levels. On top of that, it’s tied up in a Melee based Special Move that’s easy to dodge or counter from a distance. It’s a risky, difficult, and unnecessary way to play.

Overall, he is strong and quite possibly one of the best Blue Element Fighters in the game. However, his Move-Set requires a lot of skill curve to land consistently--the definition of putting all your eggs into one basket.


Incredibly High Base Defense Stats

Despite being an Offensive Fighter, his Defense stats are easily some of the best in the game. He can take hits and survive longer than anyone else on the Team, meaning he gets a lot of use out of those Crisis focused Abilities.

Devastating Burst Damage

Goku delivered a single fully charged blow to Broly’s gut in the eighth Dragon Ball Z movie, finishing the fight for good. It’s only fitting that a Dragon Ball Legends variant do the same. With all of his Buffs active, his Special Move gets a 120% boost to its already high base Damage for a one-shot kill if landed.


Lacks Reliable All Damage Buffs

Incredible base stats only take a Fighter so far; the absence of powerful all Damage Buff to those base stats is the single biggest issue with SP SSJ Goku BLU’s Moveset. The all Damage Buffs he does have are limited by when they activate or are attached to his Special Move, making it one of the easier attacks to avoid.

Average Ki Recovery

This is one of the bigger weaknesses a Fighter can have in the current Meta. Unfortunately, SP SSJ Goku BLU has that weakness and it really hurts him overall.

As a Melee Fighter, SP SSJ Goku BLU will benefit from the Strike Buff, but what’s most important is the boost to Ki Restore Speed this Equip provides.

“Angry Super Saiyan”

This Equipt also helps out with Strike Attack Ki Restore Speed, and Strike Defense to make him an even better Tank than he already is.

Team Synergy


This is one of the deepest and most versatile Tags in the game with few Blue Element Melee Fighter. Needless to say, SP SSJ Goku BLU arrived just in time.
