This is the second Super Saiyan Goku variant to appear in Dragon Ball Legends. While his Viral Heart Disease Unique Ability puts him at a severe disadvantage, he still has a few tricks up his hypothetical sleeve. 

This Fighter is meant to be played first in order to fully utilize his Abilities, similar to SP Pan BLU but with more focus on Offense and less Health.

His toolkit is primarily built around speed and dealing as much Damage as possible in a small amount of time. But considering how old he is, his shortened lifespan doesn't act so much like a balancing measure so much as a viability limiter.


Built for Speed

SP SSJ Goku YEL is a good starting Fighter because his Unique Ability decreases the cost of Arts Cards. This means that he can go full offensive right from the start. The flipside to this is a drop in health for each Arts Card used.

His Main Ability also allows him to deal more damage and increases Arts Card drawing speed. Coupled with his Unique Ability, this makes him a powerful Fighter for a very short duration.

Well-Rounded Stats

Aside from Health issues, this Fighter has decent values for every stat. He can Attack with both Strike and Blast, which further balances out his short window of viability.


Viral Heart Disease

This Fighter loses 5% of his Health each time he uses an Arts Card. It's not a huge loss individually but if he performs a four Card Combo, that amounts to 20% of his Health. While this doesn't make him completely unplayable, it makes him a bit fragile.

No Longer Competitive

What was once considered powerful Buffs are now considerably more common among new Fighters. Without the backing of a really strong Team, SP SSJ Goku YEL would be lucky to survive an Enemy Combo before he even has a chance to throw a punch of his own.

Team Synergy


He's one of the many Saiyan options available. Considering his Z-Ability doesn’t help out the Team, SP SSJ Goku YEL isn’t the best pick for this Build, but it can do a lot to support him. Still, he makes for great bench support for more powerful Saiyans like SP Goku Black YEL

Yellow Color-Counter

Similar to Saiyan Team Builds, Yellow Color Counter Teams have many good options and this Fighter can hardly them beyond Attack potency. Still, his best bet is sticking to the bench, thanks to his Strike and Blast Attack Boosting Z-Ability.

Main Ability

Swift Bout

+20% to damage inflicted for 15 timer counts. Increase Arts Card Draw Speed by 1 level for 15 timer counts. Requirements: 5 timer counts must elapse.

Unique Ability

Assault: All Costs-

-10 to own Arts cost from battle start for 20 timer counts. Effect is not applied to Awakened or Ultimate Arts Cards.

Viral Heart Disease

-5% to own health for each Arts Card used.

+19% to Element: YEL base Strike & Blast Attack during battle.
