Overview

SP SSJ Vegeta YEL makes an argument for Ranged Fighter viability in the current Meta with a toolkit that specifically punishes Melee Enemies.

He also challenges the more frequent use of Team-Healing with his highly effective Main Ability.

While he lacks the classic Vegeta mustache from the GT series, this Vegeta variant is memorable in his own right.

Strengths

Powerful Enemy Debuffs

SP SSJ Vegeta YEL actively combats the Meta by punishing Enemies for using Strike Arts Cards by increasing his Blast Damage, reducing their Ki Recovery Speed, and increasing their Strike Arts Card costs.

Additionally, he also increases Damage they receive whenever he uses a Blast Arts Card. Since the majority of Damage related effects are Enemy Debuffs that affect the entire Enemy Team or are dependant on Enemy actions, frequent switching won’t do much to reduce SP SSJ Vegeta YEL’s Damage output.

He can also reduce their Healing with his Main Ability, which is especially effective against Future and Regeneration Teams.

Weaknesses

Enemy #1: The Meta

Beyond generally average stats, SP SSJ Vegeta YEL has a problem that can easily be solved by Team composition--Ranged Fighters simply aren’t as competitive in the current Meta.

So much can go wrong for Fighters who rely solely on Blast Damage and while he isn’t a glass-cannon, SP SSJ Vegeta YEL’s two held Blast Arts Cards and low Strike Attack stat makes it even harder for him to effectively initiate Combos.

Situational Main Ability

While reducing 80% of Enemy Healing for 15 timer counts is highly effective against Enemies like SP Perfect Cell YEL and SP DK Piccolo YEL who heal over time, it’s a bit more difficult to fully utilize against Team-Healers who instantly restore massive amounts of Health.

In these instances, using his Main Ability is more of a deterrent to be used before the Enemy Player is most likely to activate a Team-Healing Main Ability--ie when the whole Team or their star Fighter is low on Health.

Team Synergy

Super Saiyan

Several top Super Saiyan Fighters have extremely powerful Blast Damage output, so SP SSJ Vegeta YEL would be right at home in this Build.

The only issue is that this Team is also Typically Strike-focused, so he would likely be replacing SP SSJ Bardock BLU so that Damage Buffs aren’t wasted on either Fighter.

Saiyan

SP SSJ Vegeta YEL just as easily fits here with many of the same advantages and disadvantages.

Inflicts all enemies with Attribute Downgrade "-80% to Health Restoration" for 15 timer counts. Inflicts enemy with Attribute Downgrade "+5 to Substitution Count" for 15 timer counts. Requirements: 10 timer counts must elapse.

Unique Ability

Unfading Fighting Spirit

Inflicts enemy with Attribute Downgrade "+15% to Damage Received" for 15 timer counts every time this character uses a Blast Arts Card. While this character is on the battlefield, the following effects occur every time the enemy uses a Strike Arts Card. +15% to Blast damage inflicted for 10 timer counts. Inflicts enemy with Attribute Downgrade "-70% to Ki Recovery" for 2 timer counts.

Intimidate: Strike Cost UP

Inflicts all enemies with Attribute Downgrade "+3 to Strike Arts cost" when this character enters the battlefield.
