When it comes to movie bosses, Turles has always been one of the fan favorites and has, for the most part, received good treatment in video games. Unfortunately, that is not the case in Dragon Ball Legends and this particular variant. SP Turles PUR is just a generic Fighter that heavily relies on luck and has almost nothing to offer.

Whenever he uses his Fruit of the Tree of Might Extra Move, he gets some nice buffs but the Fighter does nothing to support this mechanic. The Move itself is not consistent, offering random Buffs that by nature are not ideal in tactic heavy PVP.


Fruit of the Tree of Might

The fruit recovers his Health by 10% and offers a random boost. He might increase Ki Recovery Speed, Vanish Step Recovery Speed, or increase Blast Damage. Each Buff on their own is extremely useful and would be further improved when Teamed up with Fighters who hold Extra Arts Cards, such as SP Cpt. Ginyu GRN.

Dual Stat Boosting Z-Ability

He Buffs both Strike Attack and Defense for Purple Fighters, which opens up his Team Building options and is especially helpful when going up against a Saiyan Team, which typically has more Fighter options in terms of Range and Melee.


Uncompetitive Stats

While it is nice to see a Ranged Fighter with high Strike Defense, overall they are no longer as competitive as they were upon SP Turles PUR’s release. The stat prioritization is further thrown off by cripplingly low Blast Defense and Health stats. This forces the player to waste souls on these two just to bring them closer to functioning.

Unlockable Secondary Unique Ability

While it’s common for at least one of a Fighter’s Unique Abilities to have some sort of requirement to be active like certain Teammates or Enemies, it is not at all common--for new Fighters at least--for a Unique Ability to be unlockable through grinding. This makes an already difficult to utilize Fighter even less worth the trouble.

Team Synergy


While adding SP Turles PUR to a Saiyan Team is certainly an option, it is by no means recommended if the Player has better Fighters to fill that third spot. This Tag is so crowded with highly capable Fighters that this one really doesn’t have a place, especially in PVP.


With the increasing number of Saiyan counters, it wouldn’t be completely unreasonable to throw SP Turles PUR in with a Team looking for a third. With a Unique Ability and Equip that specifically work against Son Family Fighters--which the Saiyan Tag has a lot of--he would fit in pretty well, especially in a Color Counter with two Purple Fighters.

This Build doesn’t have too many options that are ideal for SP Turles PUR, but it does extend his PVP shelf life a little.
