Earth’s first Saiyan, this little guy packs a punch and won’t back down from a fight, no matter how many Teammates he has to back him up.
SP Youth Goku YEL has tons of really good Equips to choose from, he has great Strike Damage output, and any of his Moves and Abilities give him flexibility on the field.
However, he does come with Tag and combat limitations to keep in mind when building a Team.
Versatile Unique Abilities
Similar to SP Goku Black YEL, SP Youth Goku YEL gets certain Buffs depending on how the Match is going. His Rage and Double Team Unique Abilities improve his Strike and Ki Recovery Speed respectively based on how many Teammates are still alive.
This makes him better than the typical last-man-standing Offense Fighters.
High Strike Output
With tons of Strike Damage Buffs, SP Youth Goku YEL is sure to perform well in the current Strike-centric Meta.
Since his Ultimate Move grants an additional 20% to Damage when this Fighter is below 50% Health, it’s good to save that Main Ability Draw for the right time.
Old School Toolkit
SP Youth Goku YEL has a great Z-Ability, but he can’t really share it with anyone. There are tons of older EX and HE Dragon Ball Saga Fighters, but in terms of SP Fighters, there currently aren’t many options.
And for some reason, his Special Move only increases Strike Attack Damage against Demon King Piccolo variants. Having an Anti-Regeneration Ability would have been constrictive enough, but this makes the Buff nearly useless.
Stats Older Than He Is
With Strike Attack and Ki Recovery Speed being the exceptions, SP Youth Goku YEL’s stats are pretty low average for a new SP Fighter.
He has some pretty good Buffs from his Z-Ability and general toolkit, but without Team Z-Buffs helping out his Defensive stats, this Fighter is getting dangerously close to glass cannon territory.

Until a new and better Dragon Ball Saga Fighter is released, a Yellow Color-Counter Team with SP DK Piccolo YEL is the way to go. However, Players who have SP Goku Black YEL should probably bench SP Youth Goku YEL so he can still Buff SP DK Piccolo YEL without taking the spot of a better and more Meta countering Fighter.
Even if he can’t Z-Buff anyone else on the Team, this is still a solid Tag and SP Youth Goku YEL fits right in. Going for a Strike Team is a classic strategy, but since this Fighter has mixed held Arts Cards, it's a good idea to include a Blast dump who also has mixed held Arts Cards like SP Goku PUR.
