Tier Z

What makes an EX Fighter ‘Z Tier’?

They have top-tier base stats paired with some of the best all Damage/Defense Buffs in the game. They also possess excellent Synergies within the current Meta, making them great additions to the best Team Builds. Z Tier EX Fighters are equal to Tier 2 SP Fighters.

EX Kid Trunks (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1846233
Strike ATK 154822
Blast ATK 209897
Strike DEF 126774
Blast DEF 130635

Why this Tier?

  • Powerful Blast based toolkit that includes great base stats, a good Arts Card mix, and multiple all Damage buffs. and now he's farmable to 7 stars.

  • Low Ki Recovery Speed.

Discussion:

EX Kid Trunks BLU is a solid Damage dealer who, if not for his inability to sustain long Combos, would be incredibly consistent with his Damage output. This Fighter’s biggest issue is that he has great Buffs but a low Ki Recovery Speed, making his Blast Attacks hard to sustain. Despite all this, his stats are too good to ignore. These faults are made more forgivable by the fact that he’s Hybrid Saiyan--an increasingly popular Tag within the Meta.

EX Kid Goten (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1809674
Strike ATK 203703
Blast ATK 159529
Strike DEF 129335
Blast DEF 129342

Why this Tier?

  • Incredible Strike based toolkit that includes great base stats, a perfect Arts Card mix, solidly Buffable Ki Recovery Speed, and consistent all Damage Buffs.

  • Low-cost Extra Move and attribute downgrade to Ki Recovery Speed.

Discussion:

EX Kid Goten BLU is an incredibly consistent Damage dealer. As a Strike based Fighter, he is made more so by being able to draw a Strike Arts Card on demand with his Main Ability. He rounds this out with two Strike Arts Cards that he can power up with an incredibly low-cost Extra Move. On top all of this, his Buffs are easy to unlock, powerful, and Synergize well. This makes him a great addition to the Hybrid Saiyan Tag, which is currently a major player within the Meta.

EX Vegeta (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1846233
Strike ATK 193705
Blast ATK 112919
Strike DEF 121857
Blast DEF 126824

Why this Tier?

  • Farmable PVP Fighter with a Strike focused toolkit, including great base stats, two Strike Arts Cards, and all Damage Buffs.

  • All the Damage Buffs can stack to incredible amounts but aren’t reliable or easy to acquire.

Discussion:

EX Vegeta RED’s strengths are Damage Buffs. He is similar to SP SSJ Goku RED, only EX Vegeta RED’s toolkit plays better to his strengths by putting less into his secondary Attack stat. As a farmable Fighter, his stats make him the perfect protection when running and SP Super Saiyan 2 Youth Gohan PUR or SP Super Trunks GRN.

EX Bardock (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1883719
Strike ATK 187081
Blast ATK 138525
Strike DEF 126781
Blast DEF 124264

Why this Tier?

  • Excellent Ki management due to his Main Ability, Crisis Unique Ability, and base Recovery Speed.

  • One of the most powerful all-around Offense Fighters, due in a large part to his top tier Special Move.

Discussion:

EX Bardock YEL is kind of like SP SSJ Vegeta RED, only less Tanking and more Melee combat. He truly shines on a Saiyan Team where an incredible 15% Buff to his Blast at all times--his stats are already pretty solid across the board. His Strike based Special Move hits harder than most currently in the game. Lastly, his toolkit includes self-healing and Ki Recovery Boosts to make him a self-sufficient and all-around great Fighter.

EX Goku (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1626929
Strike ATK 215217
Blast ATK 109036
Strike DEF 107372
Blast DEF 105240

Why this Tier?

  • He delivers a near flawless combination of a top-tier Strike stats, two Strike Arts Cards, and a set of all Damage Buffs that make him one of the best Melee Style Fighters in the game.

  • Was a farmable Fighter through PVP and could easily have been leveled up to 7 stars.

Discussion:

EX Goku BLU can best be compared to SP LSSJ Broly BLU but succeeds him in almost every Offensive metric. His perfect combination of base Strike Attack and all Damage Buffs mean he can tear through just about anyone. His Z-Ability and Saiyan Tag are both powerful and versatile, making him a capable starter or a must-have bench Fighter.

Tier 1

What makes an EX Fighter ‘Tier 1’?

Good Synergies and stats make for excellent Fighters, but their unreliable or costly Abilities keep them from pushing into Z tier.

EX Cell Jr. (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1991326
Strike ATK 234160
Blast ATK 198529
Strike DEF 119741
Blast DEF 122115

Why this Tier?

  • EX Cell Jr YEL has an extremely similar toolkit to EX Zarbon BLU.
  • This Fighter's Tags work better within the Meta, and his Buffs and debuffs are more relevant to the current combat system.

Discussion:

EX Cell Jr YEL has SP Rarity stats, but they conflict with his held Arts Cards and Fighting style. Luckily this isn't difficult to work around, so long as the Player using him considers him a Melee Fighter and makes sure to put him on a Team that can use his two held Blast cards while also providing Strike Cards for EX Cell Jr YEL to use.

EX Youth Gohan (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1951736
Strike ATK 160273
Blast ATK 236506
Strike DEF 139159
Blast DEF 136448

Why this Tier?

  • He has SP Rarity stats and 105 resistance to Impact Damage.
  • While his toolkit is crazy strong, many of EX Gohan RED's Abilities are tied to being on a team with a Goku variant.

Discussion:

EX Gohan RED is part of the extremely Synergizing Hybrid Saiyan Tag, but his own Z-Ability is Tagged for Son Family. His Abilities are great for benefiting the Team through Blast Damage Buffs and Ki Recovery Speed. If it weren't for his Team viability restrictions, this would be a Z-Tier Fighter.

EX Android #18 (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1827954
Strike ATK 145207
Blast ATK 139682
Strike DEF 102444
Blast DEF 158338

Why this Tier?

  • Was farmable through PVP, therefore has excellent stats at max stars and comes with a great Health focused Z-Ability.

  • Excellent toolkit for Ki management and Health Restore that are tied to a costly and rare Extra Move.

Discussion:

EX Android #18 GRN while farmable, is ultimately a weaker version of SP SSJ Vegeta RED. Both have a self-healing and one incredible Defensive stat, but EX Android #18 GRN lacks the Unique Abilities or Damage focused tools that would allow her to win neutral match-ups.

EX Android #17 (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1812847
Strike ATK 177786
Blast ATK 148148
Strike DEF 104782
Blast DEF 107963

Why this Tier?

  • His ‘Cover’ Unique Ability is, well, unique. It not only allows him to take a beating but provides a massive all Damage Buff. When combined with his Extra Move, it allows him to give more and take less.

  • His Main Ability can extend Combos by at least two additional Attacks. This is especially useful since his Arts Card mix fit his strengths well.

Discussion:

EX Android #17 RED isn’t exactly like his Sparkling counterpart, but they are both competent Tanks and his Cover Unique Ability Cover to soak up Damage when needed. However, that’s where the similarities end because this Android #17 variant has a very powerful Melee toolkit that fits well within the current Strike focused Meta.

EX Master Roshi (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1864788
Strike ATK 138532
Blast ATK 184321
Strike DEF 128685
Blast DEF 128048

Why this Tier?

  • Amazing Unique Ability that Buffs all Damage, Ki Recovery Speed, and Critical rating when paired with the Female Warrior Tag.

  • A Critical-focused toolkit is at its core, ineffective due to the mechanics of the game.

Discussion:

When Teamed up with at least one Fighter from the Female Warrior Tag, EX Master Roshi PUR can put out more Blast Damage than SP Android #17 PUR and more Strike Damage than SP LSSJ Broly BLU.

His Ki Recovery Speed (when Buffed) becomes one of the best in the game. However, this Fighter’s biggest flaw is his stat power allocation, which prioritizes Critical rating and ignoring Defensive stats. This makes EX Master Roshi PUR the epitome of a glass cannon.

Tier 2

What makes an EX Fighter ‘Tier 2’?

Excellent Abilities for Team Synergy or an exceptional niche Fighter within a fairly competitive Team, which also make them are too situational for wider use. These Fighters can’t be the centerpiece of a Team, but are still integral through how they Buff primary Fighters.

EX Android #16 (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2265445
Strike ATK 212684
Blast ATK 157283
Strike DEF 132473
Blast DEF 131160

Why this Tier?

  • He's got some interesting Support in the form of his Main Ability that reduces Strike and Blast Arts Card costs for Teammates.

  • A Unique Ability with all Damage Buffs that only benefit his Teammates after EX Android #16 YEL dies, while interesting, make him a liability on the field.

Discussion:

Despite his strong focus on Support, EX Android #16 YEL is a bit of a liability on the field since his stats aren't that great in a neutral Match and none of his Buffs actually apply to himself. A Yellow Buffing Z-Ability also hurts his viability on an Android Team--core or bench.

EX Nappa (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1812847
Strike ATK 206318
Blast ATK 108496
Strike DEF 83846
Blast DEF 118451

Why this Tier?

  • Devastating Melee Fighter due to high percentage all Damage Buffs, above average Ki Recovery Speed and good base Strike.

  • Almost half of his Buffs disappear after the first 20 timer counts of a match and his Defensive stats are not great.

Discussion:

EX Nappa RED is a powerful glass cannon who can deal some serious damage in a Saiyan Tag Strike Team. As Melee Fighter, he is most similar to SP Pan BLU, with better Strike Attack but worse Ki Recovery Speed.

EX Dodoria (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2044231
Strike ATK 186547
Blast ATK 143648
Strike DEF 122675
Blast DEF 130056

Why this Tier?

  • A strong Melee Fighter with an excellent Extra and Special move and an above average Buffed Ki Recovery Speed.

  • Buffs are tied to Frieza variants, limiting his Teams options in the current Meta.

Discussion:

EX Dodoria GRN is an unusually well-balanced Fighter with good Defense, great Offense, one of the highest percentage Z-Abilities in the game, plus really amazing Unique Ability Buffs. However, most of his Buffs come from or apply to Frieza variants or the currently limited Frieza Force Tag.

EX Zarbon (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1789354
Strike ATK 156762
Blast ATK 169016
Strike DEF 120423
Blast DEF 140423

Why this Tier?

  • Excellent Frieza Force Synergy from both his Z-Ability and ‘Assist’ Unique Ability.

  • Has an incredible Ki and Vanish Gauge Recovery Speed, but isn’t very durable or impressive otherwise.

Discussion:

EX Zarbon BLU’s greatest strength is also his greatest weakness: his Z-ability buffs Frieza, but none of the current Frieza variants are built to be the focus of his Team. He is great for Synergy, but he’s also severely limited by it.

EX 2nd Form Cell (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1678394
Strike ATK 181061
Blast ATK 173952
Strike DEF 117578
Blast DEF 115243

Why this Tier?

  • A nice Blast focused toolkit, two Blast Arts Cards, Synergizing Z-Ability, great Ki Recovery Speed, and Unique Abilities that all make him a more effective Ranged Offensive Fighter.

  • Poor Defense stats and costly Extra Move that make him easy to kill.

Discussion:

EX 2nd Form Cell BLU shares many similarities to his more perfect self, SP Perfect Cell RED in that they are both Ranged Fighters and provide debuffs to Enemy Arts Card costs. His stats and Unique Abilities are also more limited in that they only apply to certain Tags and can’t be stacked.

EX Final Form Frost (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1957930
Strike ATK 153334
Blast ATK 151808
Strike DEF 134347
Blast DEF 138439

Why this Tier?

  • Really great base Defensive stats and a solidly Team Buff/Enemy debuff focused toolkit such as his debuffing Main Ability.

  • Lacks any ‘all Defense’ Buffs like Unique Ability Cover to truly take advantage of his Tanking power. Luckily, he's Farmable to 7 stars.

Discussions:

EX FF Frost BLU can take a beating and control the battlefield with his Extra Move which immobilizes. However, he’s light in the all Damage department like SP Piccolo GRN but without the Cover Unique Ability or Team healing.

Tier 3

What makes an EX Fighter ‘Tier 3’?

Tier 3 Fighters are solid bench Fighters who can be swapped in for color advantage as needed and Synergizes well with their Teams.

EX Android #19 (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1771638
Strike ATK 178428
Blast ATK 126805
Strike DEF 95437
Blast DEF 116928

Why this Tier?

  • Interesting toolkit which includes a ‘Cover: Absorb’ Unique Ability that can stop Enemy combat loops.

  • Great Ki Recovery Speed and Buffs, but the other Unique Ability limits to Teams including an Android #20 variant.

Discussion:

EX Android #19 RED is tougher than he looks, thanks to high Impact Resistance. His play style is most similar SP SSJ Goku GRN.

Android #19’s Cover Ability is effective in stopping Ranged Attacks from landing while Restoring Ki in the process. This control over the combat loop is incredibly powerful, but being limited to Blast Attacks really hurt the practical benefits of this Ability.

EX Turles (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1902556
Strike ATK 94085
Blast ATK 172959
Strike DEF 120644
Blast DEF 120644

Why this Tier?

  • Farmable to 7 stars through Adventures and EX Scout.

  • Great all Damage Buffs, but he lacks the base stats to truly allow his Attack stand out.

Discussion:

EX Turles GRN is quite similar to SP Turles PUR in that their base stats and Extra Move random Buffs label them as unreliable Offense Fighters. However, his farmability and excellent all Damage Buffs redeem EX Turles GRN, placing him at this tier.

EX Pan (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1626767
Strike ATK 159736
Blast ATK 180816
Strike DEF 108403
Blast DEF 113961

Why this Tier?

  • Her main ability boosts Teammate Ki Recovery Speeds and has an above average Ranged toolkit, including a good base Damage and several all Damage Buffs.

  • While Blast Attack is above average, the other stats make her overly reliant on Team Buffs.

Discussion:

EX Pan PUR is great for completing the team: she can use the Arts Cards not utilized by other Teammates, Buffs Ki Recovery Speed, and her Main Ability directly restores Ki to the Team. However, her otherwise generally weak stats make her the third wheel to what is essentially a two-person Team.

EX 1st Form Cell (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1867871
Strike ATK 148148
Blast ATK 144624
Strike DEF 104772
Blast DEF 85506

Why this Tier?

  • Can be farmed to 7 stars and has Team healing for the Android Tag.

  • Has good all Damage Buffs,  but they are either too specialized or hard to apply.

Discussion:

EX 1st Form Cell YEL has great Synergy with his fellow Androids, but the restrictions of his Abilities really hurt his viability overall: his team-heal only affects Androids, his all Damage Buff only works against Piccolo variants, etc.

Either way: the popularity of the Android Tag, his great Z-Ability, and the fact that he is farmable to 7 stars are what make him a solid Fighter.

Tier 4

What makes an EX Fighter ‘Tier 4’?

They have niche abilities that Synergize with their Teams in a very specific way, but their stats and limitations are too difficult to play in the current Meta.

EX 1st Form Frieza (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1807338
Strike ATK 159736
Blast ATK 177484
Strike DEF 127437
Blast DEF 112062

Why this Tier?

  • Has great Synergy with Frieza Force Tag through his all Damage Buffs and Z-Ability.

  • Average all around stats and below average Main Ability.

Discussion:

EX 1st Form Frieza YEL requires an EX Zarbon BLU and EX Dodoria GRN as Teammates to be worth anything, but his stats and Abilities don’t warrant that since his stats especially are worse than his SP variants in the game.

EX Teen Trunks (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1518145
Strike ATK 176095
Blast ATK 146739
Strike DEF 102753
Blast DEF 103775

Why this Tier?

  • Farmable to 7 stars, he has Team heal and a solid Ki Recovery Buff through his Extra Move.

  • Below average base stats and limited Unique Abilities.

Discussion:

Outside of his Buffs to counter the Frieza Force Tag, EX Teen Trunks YEL is best used for his Hybrid Saiyan Teammate healing. His low stats make him difficult to bring to a match; luckily, his Z-Ability could have some staying power within Yellow Team Builds for PVE.

EX Krillin (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1789060
Strike ATK 130141
Blast ATK 142409
Strike DEF 114147
Blast DEF 115294

Why this Tier?

  • Farmable to 7 stars with a self-heal Main Ability.

  • Below average stats and no noticeable all Damage Buffs to help those stats.

Discussion:

While farmable, EX Krillin RED has below average stats and no all Damage Buffs.

His toolkit adds some durability through self-healing and he can apply various debuffs to Enemies in addition to inflicting Flash and Bleed, but these debuffs are too costly or circumstantial to overcome other limitations. With his Unique Ability to boost Ki Recovery Speed, he is capable of juggling Enemies and stunning them with his Extra Move to set up larger Combos from stronger Teammates.

EX Fused with Nail Piccolo (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1952120
Strike ATK 109598
Blast ATK 119940
Strike DEF 131436
Blast DEF 118103

Why this tier?

  • Team Heal and two Strike Arts Cards, and farmability

  • Low stats and limited Unique Abilities.

Discussion:

EX Nail Piccolo YEL has excellent Synergy with Yellow Teams. Besides his Team Heal, he brings much needed Strike Arts Cards to the typically Blast skewed decks of this Element Group. However, his low stats make him a liability in combat, but this is mitigated by his farmability.

EX Raditz (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1678562
Strike ATK 174327
Blast ATK 186983
Strike DEF 91327
Blast DEF 88628

Why this Tier?

  • Has one of the best Z-Abilities for the popular Saiyan Tag.

  • Limited Abilities that focus on unused Tags like Super Warrior.

Discussion:

EX Raditz BLU has a timeless Z-Ability: due to how valuable Health is and how important Saiyans are to every saga so far in this story.

However, his stats and Abilities aren’t competitive and should never be taken off the bench, assuming he makes the Team at all.

Tier 5

EX Vegeta (Yellow)
Explanation
EX Demon King Piccolo (Purple)
Explanation
EX Cabba (Green)
Explanation
EX Android #20 (Yellow)
Explanation
EX 3rd Form Frieza (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2135924
Strike ATK 128298
Blast ATK 164347
Strike DEF 94920
Blast DEF 140963

Although he has horrible stats in all areas, Frieza causes the enemy to receive more blast damage through his main ability and synergizes well with SP Vegeta due to his Z ability which makes him viable as a sub/bench unit.

EX 1st Form Frieza (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1578529
Strike ATK 176095
Blast ATK 176086
Strike DEF 107377
Blast DEF 108456
  • This version of Frieza is a good all around unit, having decent stats in all areas.

  • He has buffs to both strike and blast attacks which give him some form of offensive viability.

  • He also supports the strike attacks of BLUE units like SP LSSJ Broly which is an excellent ability.

EX Vegeta (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1578687
Strike ATK 110688
Blast ATK 213065
Strike DEF 104193
Blast DEF 107361
  • Vegeta is a watered down version of SP Vegeta. He has a really high blast attack stat and multiple buffs to increase it further.

  • The rest of his stats are quite low so he can’t perform well defensively.

  • He has great synergy with saiyans so he will always have a spot as a sub/bench unit.

EX Yamcha (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1678562
Strike ATK 187001
Blast ATK 164183
Strike DEF 89514
Blast DEF 92699
  • Yamcha is a decent offensive unit, having good attack stats and several buffs to his strike attacks.

  • His special move increases his critical hit rate and has a 50% chance to inflict bleed which is a good standard for special moves.

  • Due to the current state of the meta, he doesn’t synergize well with other units and so can only be run on teams if the user is lacking options.

EX Tien (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1550836
Strike ATK 160652
Blast ATK 154345
Strike DEF 138432
Blast DEF 137055
  • Having better stats than SP pan in almost everything but ki recovery and being able to increase ki recovery speed through his main ability, Tien can be a good replacement for her.
  • Although he lacks synergy with many units in the game, he still performs better than most Extreme units.
EX Mercenary Tao (Purple)
Explanation
EX Chiaotzu (Purple)
Explanation
