Tier Z

What makes an EX Fighter ‘Z Tier’?

They have top-tier base stats paired with some of the best all Damage/Defense Buffs in the game. They also possess excellent Synergies within the current Meta, making them great additions to the best Team Builds. Z Tier EX Fighters are equal to Tier 2 SP Fighters.

EX Teen Trunks (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2190156
Strike ATK 242188
Blast ATK 197514
Strike DEF 145020
Blast DEF 146444

Why this Tier?

  • He counters Regeneration Fighters and Synergizes really well with Future Fighters.

  • His Defenses are pretty high, especially for an EX Rarity.

Discussion:

EX Teen Trunks PUR boasts a near perfect Strike toolkit with two Strike Arts Cards held, massive Damage bonuses, and incredible base Strike Attack stats. He makes a great core option for Future Teams, and in Builds where he doesn’t quite make the cut, his Z-Ability certainly gives him a spot on the bench.

EX Majin Buu: Pure Evil (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2266758
Strike ATK 228895
Blast ATK 255532
Strike DEF 139605
Blast DEF 138234

Why this Tier?

  • He’s an EX Fighter with SP stats.

  • He has tons of Damage Buffs and Enemy Debuffs, including a Health Restoration Debuff which is perfect in the current Meta.

Discussion:

As of his release, EX Evil Buu BLU is simultaneously reviving and countering the Regeneration Tag, and it’s somewhat incredible that he can be pulled at an EX probability rate.

EX Fused with Nail Piccolo (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2310999
Strike ATK 192109
Blast ATK 190182
Strike DEF 144136
Blast DEF 142712

Why this Tier?

  • Team Heal and two Strike Arts Cards, and farmability.

  • He also got a massive stat Buff in the third balance update.

Discussion:

EX Nail Piccolo YEL has excellent Synergy with Yellow and Regeneration Teams. Besides his Team Heal, he brings much needed Strike Arts Cards.

EX Android #18 (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2090089
Strike ATK 201784
Blast ATK 228866
Strike DEF 134403
Blast DEF 137086

Why this Tier?

  • EX Android #18 PUR’s Z-Ability is the same as EX Android #19 RED, only stronger.

  • Her stats make her viable in PVP.

Discussion:

This Fighter’s stats are almost all better than those of SP PF Cell RED, and her toolkit and Z-Synergy with Androids--Android #17 in particular--make EX Android #18 PUR PVP viable on as a core or bench choice.

EX Android #17 (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2069200
Strike ATK 211290
Blast ATK 189346
Strike DEF 154295
Blast DEF 151256

Why this Tier?

  • He Buffs Strike Attack and Defense at Z-Ability 1. From Z-Ability 2 and onward, he surpasses EX Android #20 YEL’s Z-Buff potency

  • His stats make him PVP viable.

Discussion:

EX Android #17 GRN works really well in Android Teams, both in the core and on the bench thanks to his stats Tag Synergy. All his Abilities and Moves are really effective, especially in the current Meta.

EX Coora (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2210938
Strike ATK 190722
Blast ATK 197317
Strike DEF 130062
Blast DEF 127494

Why this Tier?

  • EX Coora BLU provides great Team Support through his Unique and Z-Abilities.

  • His Main Ability effects are based on how high his Health is, making him very versatile and flexible for a Support Fighter.

Discussion:

Sagas Warriors recently and quickly became a very PVP viable Tag. EX Coora BLU’s Synergy with them gives him staying power, even as an EX Fighter.

Tier 1

What makes an EX Fighter ‘Tier 1’?

Good Synergies and stats make for excellent Fighters, but their unreliable or costly Abilities keep them from pushing into Z tier.

EX Fasha (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2211159
Strike ATK 211856
Blast ATK 197317
Strike DEF 132566
Blast DEF 136582

Why this Tier?

  • Her utility is a little too situational.

  • Upon release, she provides the highest Strike Defense Z-Ability Buff in the game.

Discussion:

Her Buffs Strike and all Damage--perfect or the current Meta--and her Ability to Team Heal and draw a Special Move Arts Card makes her great for setting up Combos. Her death also causes all Enemies to take 30% more Damage. These are all great reasons to put her on a Team, but her stats are also high enough that she won’t be considered a liability in PVP.

EX Pan: Honey (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2100182
Strike ATK 200402
Blast ATK 206726
Strike DEF 139816
Blast DEF 144043

Why this Tier?

  • She has really great Buffs and support for a strong, albeit small--Tag.

  • Her utility is a little too situational.

Discussion:

Unlike a couple other Fighter’s that were released alongside or recent to her, EX Honey Pan’s Team Support doesn’t come from dying, making her a more reliable asset to the Team.

EX Mai (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1910250
Strike ATK 189413
Blast ATK 220746
Strike DEF 134593
Blast DEF 136600

Why this Tier?

  • She has Bleeding Strike and Blast Attacks.

  • She’s a fantastic Damage Buffing Support who can also draw a Special Arts Card.

Discussion:

She’s solid Support for Female Warriors and really not a bad sub for Players who don't have SP Youth Bulma BLU since she Buffs Female Warriors both when she arrives and leaves--pair that with her many ways to reduce sub count, and she encourages fast-paced Combat that gets the most of Vanish Step and Synergy.

EX Android #16 (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2265445
Strike ATK 216804
Blast ATK 192292
Strike DEF 135036
Blast DEF 133697

Why this Tier?

  • He's got some interesting Support in the form of his Main Ability that reduces Strike and Blast Arts Card costs for Teammates.

  • He was recently Buffed in the third balance update.

Discussion:

His stats are pretty strong for an EX Fighter now, and he has the support toolkit to make him a required addition to EX Android Teams.

EX Android #18 (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1827954
Strike ATK 145207
Blast ATK 139682
Strike DEF 102444
Blast DEF 158338

Why this Tier?

  • Was farmable through PVP, therefore has excellent stats at max stars and comes with a great Health focused Z-Ability.

  • Excellent toolkit for Ki management and Health Restore that are tied to a costly and rare Extra Move.

Discussion:

EX Android #18 GRN while farmable, is ultimately a weaker version of SP SSJ Vegeta RED. Both have a self-healing and one incredible Defensive stat, but EX Android #18 GRN lacks the Unique Abilities or Damage focused tools that would allow her to win neutral match-ups.

EX Tien (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2179169
Strike ATK 217016
Blast ATK 217016
Strike DEF 144200
Blast DEF 148529

Why this Tier?

  • His Z-Ability Buffs Red and Green Strike Defense.

  • He lacks viable Tags.

Discussion:

EX Tien RED is a solid Fighter but only so long as all his buffs are hitting, which means he needs to be frequently swapped in and out. This isn’t usually a bad thing, but his Double-Team Unique Ability relies on everyone in the Team staying alive. His double color Z-Ability is really useful, but it's hard to say he has a 'home' where he can help fend off any relevant Teams.

EX Dodoria (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2044231
Strike ATK 186547
Blast ATK 143648
Strike DEF 122675
Blast DEF 130056

Why this Tier?

  • A strong Melee Fighter with an excellent Extra and Special Move.

  • His Buffs are tied to Frieza variants, making him a great bench Z-Buffer.

Discussion:

EX Dodoria GRN is still great, but playing him as a starter in Frieza Force is no longer a sure thing. He’s being power crept and there are plenty of other more powerful Green Fighters in his Tag.

EX Gohan (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2199528
Strike ATK 203002
Blast ATK 234979
Strike DEF 141519
Blast DEF 142923

Why this Tier?

  • His Defensive stats and Unique Abilities make him hard to kill.

  • He’s got a good Z-Ability for Future making him a perfect candidate for the bench.

Discussion:

EX Gohan GRN isn’t great, but he’s good. His toolkit doesn’t really fit the Meta nor does it guarantee him a spot on the core. Still, he has some interesting Defensive Abilities that give him the chance to come in as a counter to Blue Fighters or help Tank against especially Offensive Enemy Teams.

EX Thouser (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2334611
Strike ATK 208690
Blast ATK 159878
Strike DEF 120334
Blast DEF 122755

Why this Tier?

  • He’s limited to Teams with Coora variants which alone isn’t bad but since he doesn’t contribute to that Team via Support Buffs, he’s likely to never see the starting line up.

  • his Damage Buffs make his already respectable base Strike Attack stat and held Strike Arts Cards quite powerful.

Discussion:

It's a shame he wasn't given more Coora variant Buffs, otherwise there's not much reason to put him in the core then there are so many other established high tier Sagas Warriors out there.

Even putting him on bench only makes sense for Players who don't have enough SP Fighters to Z-Buff.

EX Tora (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2311634
Strike ATK 202297
Blast ATK 220197
Strike DEF 141808
Blast DEF 137637

Why this Tier?

  • He Buffs two stats with his Z-Ability.

  • His Blast Damage Buffs are incredibly powerful.

Discussion:

EX Tora PUR, in a vacuum, is good. However, his Buff to Bardock variant Blast Damage are less desirable when compared to EX Fasha RED, making him a tough start on a Bardock Team. SP SSJ Bardock BLU, SP Bardock GRN, and EX Bardock YEL all either Support themselves or are Strike focused so Buffing Blast just isn’t valuable. That being said, he will often sit on the bench of these Bardock Teams because dual stat Buffing is still valuable.

EX Super Saiyan Vegeta (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2168282
Strike ATK 212451
Blast ATK 209333
Strike DEF 151696
Blast DEF 150205

Why this Tier?

  • He has really strong Defenses, self Healing, and Damage reduction Abilities.

  • His base Health and Offense stats are pretty low so his Damage Buffs won’t go that far.

Discussion:

This is another EX Fighter with SP Rarity stats at the time of his release. However, his Anti-Android Fate Unique Ability is limiting and his last-man-standing Rage really doesn’t work with the rest of his toolkit. That being said, the color flexibility of his Z-Ability after 5 stars will certainly give him a longer life on the bench after power creep begins to affect his impressive stats.

EX Bardock (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1883719
Strike ATK 187081
Blast ATK 138525
Strike DEF 126781
Blast DEF 124264

Why this Tier?

  • Despite farmability, his stats have been severely power crept.

  • His Teachable Special Move deals tons of Damage thanks to its unique Damage Calculations.

Discussion:

EX Bardock YEL has a lot of utility, even if he won’t see a lot of Combat. His Special move makes him invaluable to farm for friendship and his Z-Ability makes him a staple for Yellow color counter Teams. In specific PVE battles, he’s still a strong choice for his Strike focused toolkit.

EX Tien (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1971028
Strike ATK 202107
Blast ATK 198125
Strike DEF 151552
Blast DEF 153060

Why this Tier?

  • He got some really great stat Buffs to back up what has always been a good Ability set.

  • Although he lacks Tag Synergy with many Fighters in the game, he still performs better than many of his Rarity.

Discussion:

Even though the Super Warrior Tag isn’t very impressive currently, there have been many new Yellow Fighter releases and SP FF Frieza YEL’s balance back into PVP viability means that EX Tien YEL would make a great Z-Buffing bench Fighter.

EX Youth Gohan (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1951736
Strike ATK 160273
Blast ATK 236506
Strike DEF 139159
Blast DEF 136448

Why this Tier?

  • He has SP Rarity stats and 105 resistance to Impact Damage.
  • While his toolkit is crazy strong, many of EX Gohan RED's Abilities are tied to being on a team with a Goku variant.

Discussion:

EX Gohan RED is part of the extremely Synergizing Hybrid Saiyan Tag, but his own Z-Ability is Tagged for Son Family. His Abilities are great for benefiting the Team through Blast Damage Buffs and Ki Recovery Speed. If it weren't for his Team viability restrictions, this would be a Z-Tier Fighter.

EX Zarbon (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1789354
Strike ATK 156762
Blast ATK 169016
Strike DEF 120423
Blast DEF 140423

Why this Tier?

  • Excellent Frieza Force Synergy from both his Z-Ability and ‘Assist’ Unique Ability.

  • He has an incredible Ki and Vanish Gauge Recovery Speed, but isn’t very durable or impressive otherwise.

Discussion:

His Z-ability buffs Frieza variants. He is great for Synergy, and this becomes more if a strength with every new Frieza Force or Lineage of Evil Fighter that is released.

EX Caulifla (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2199326
Strike ATK 217604
Blast ATK 213310
Strike DEF 126782
Blast DEF 123040

Why this Tier?

  • She Z-Buffs two stats, but is color-locked and not farmable

  • She has a great Blast Support toolkit.

Discussion:

EX Caulifla RED has promise, but her Blast focused toolkit isn’t needed in the current Meta. This combined with a Z-Ability that conflicts with her Synergies means it’s gonna be hard to fit her into a Team.

Tier 2

What makes an EX Fighter ‘Tier 2’?

Excellent Abilities for Team Synergy or an exceptional niche Fighter within a fairly competitive Team, which also make them are too situational for wider use. These Fighters can’t be the centerpiece of a Team, but are still integral through how they Buff primary Fighters.

EX Super Saiyan Vegeta (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2010109
Strike ATK 199384
Blast ATK 230761
Strike DEF 118619
Blast DEF 119211

Why this Tier?

  • He’s not farmable and his Z-Buffs are unimpressive.

  • Ranged Combat is harder to pull off in the current Meta.

Discussion:

His Abilities and Moves are decent but are by no means on par with the mid-range SP level viability that has come to be expected from newly released EX Fighters. The fact that he has an Otherworld Warrior further hurts his viability.

EX Android #17 (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1812847
Strike ATK 177786
Blast ATK 148148
Strike DEF 104782
Blast DEF 107963

Why this Tier?

  • He’s grindable and Buffs two stats, but his Z-Ability is color locked, making him only useful on the bench.

  • His Main Ability can extend Combos by at least two additional Attacks. This is especially useful since his Arts Card mix fit his strengths well.

Discussion:

His ‘Cover’ Unique Ability is, well, unique. It not only allows him to take a beating but provides a massive all Damage Buff. When combined with his Extra Move, it allows him to give more and take less.

EX Final Form Frost (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1957930
Strike ATK 153334
Blast ATK 151808
Strike DEF 134347
Blast DEF 138439

Why this Tier?

  • Really great base Defensive stats and a solidly Team Buff/Enemy debuff focused toolkit such as his debuffing Main Ability.

  • Lacks any ‘all Defense’ Buffs like Unique Ability Cover to truly take advantage of his Tanking power. Luckily, he's Farmable to 7 stars.

Discussions:

EX FF Frost BLU can take a beating and control the battlefield with his Extra Move which immobilizes. However, he’s light in the all Damage department like SP Piccolo GRN but without the Cover Unique Ability or Team healing.

EX Goku (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1626929
Strike ATK 215217
Blast ATK 109036
Strike DEF 107372
Blast DEF 105240

Why this Tier?

  • He has decent Strike Attack and Buffs for an EX Rarity Fighter, but he shouldn’t be expected to hold his own in PVP

  • Power creep in the Saiyan Tag has severely hurt his viability, even at 7 stars.

Discussion:

EX Goku BLU can best be compared to SP LSSJ Broly BLU but succeeds him in almost every Offensive metric. Sadly, this is no longer saying much.

His Z-Ability and Saiyan Tag are both powerful and versatile, making him a capable PVE choice or a possible bench Support in PVP.

EX Super Saiyan Teen Trunks (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2068796
Strike ATK 201390
Blast ATK 230738
Strike DEF 118630
Blast DEF 124043

Why this Tier?

  • His toolkit is limiting, his Z-Buffs are unimpressive, and he’s not farmable.

  • Ranged Combat is harder to pull off in the current Meta.

Discussion:

His Abilities and Moves are all quite good but are by no means on par with the mid-range SP level viability that has come to be expected from newly released EX Fighters. Hybrid Saiyans are dropping out of Meta recently, making it even harder for EX SSJ Teen Trunks GRN to compete.

EX Krillin (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2324024
Strike ATK 195441
Blast ATK 189716
Strike DEF 141615
Blast DEF 140223

Why this Tier?

  • Farmable to 7 stars with a Team Healing Main Ability.

  • While the third balance update boosted his stats, his viability beyond color counter Team bench support is still hurt by a lack of Synergizing Tags.

Discussion:

EX Krillin RED has pretty good stats for an EX Fighter and Enemy Debuffs like Flash and Bleed are extremely helpful and supportive, but he just doesn’t hold a candle to the Red SP Fighters he currently needs to compete with.

EX Cell Jr. (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1991326
Strike ATK 234160
Blast ATK 198529
Strike DEF 119741
Blast DEF 122115

Why this Tier?

  • EX Cell Jr YEL has an extremely similar toolkit to EX Zarbon BLU.

  • He’s overly reliant on SP PF Cell RED, who has been severely power crept in all of his Tags.

Discussion:

EX Cell Jr YEL’s stats are getting a bit power crept, and that and his toolkit conflict with his held Arts Cards and Fighting style. An overreliance on Cell Fighters has made him almost impossible to bring into a Match.

EX Vegeta (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1846233
Strike ATK 193705
Blast ATK 112919
Strike DEF 121857
Blast DEF 126824

Why this Tier?

  • Even though his highest stat is low average, EX Vegeta RED is farmable to 7 stars, holds two Strike Arts Cards, and has several Strike Damage Buffs.

  • All the Damage Buffs can stack to incredible amounts but power creep in the Saiyan Tag makes him less viable.

Discussion:

EX Vegeta RED’s strengths are Damage Buffs. He is similar to SP SSJ Goku RED, only EX Vegeta RED’s toolkit plays better to his strengths by putting less into his secondary Attack stat. As a farmable Fighter, he’s a good bench Support option, but the Saiyan Tag is too competitive for him to be viable as a core Fighter.

EX 2nd Form Cell (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1990316
Strike ATK 203351
Blast ATK 209776
Strike DEF 139429
Blast DEF 139422

Why this Tier?

  • Power creep and an inability to grind makes him less viable.

  • While his stats were Buffed with the third balance update, this wasn’t quite enough to bring him up to average.

Discussion:

EX 2nd Form Cell BLU shares many similarities to his more perfect self, SP PF Cell RED in that they are both Ranged Fighters and provide debuffs to Enemy Arts Card costs. He counters the more common Saiyan Tag, but it’s unlikely that he will see the core line-up often.

Tier 3

What makes an EX Fighter ‘Tier 3’?

Tier 3 Fighters are solid bench Fighters who can be swapped in for color advantage as needed and Synergizes well with their Teams.

EX Vegeta (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1989508
Strike ATK 195763
Blast ATK 234496
Strike DEF 134520
Blast DEF 135864

Why this Tier?

  • This is a watered down version of the already weak SP Vegeta PUR. He has a really high Blast Attack stat and multiple Buffs to increase it further.

  • The rest of his stats are quite low, so he can’t perform well Defensively either.

Discussion:

He has pretty good Synergy with Saiyans so he will likely always have a spot on the bench, but he’s not farmable so even this will be uncommon.

EX Nappa (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1812847
Strike ATK 206318
Blast ATK 108496
Strike DEF 83846
Blast DEF 118451

Why this Tier?

  • High percentage Damage Buffs.

  • Almost half of his Buffs disappear after the first 20 timer counts of a match and his Defensive stats are not great.

Discussion:

EX Nappa RED has been power crept pretty bad, especially after the third balance update.

EX Kid Goten (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1809674
Strike ATK 203703
Blast ATK 159529
Strike DEF 129335
Blast DEF 129342

Why this Tier?

  • He has great Buffs but terrible stats.

  • He’s grindable and Buffs two stats, but his Z-Ability is color locked, making him only useful on the bench.

Discussion:

This Fighter’s biggest issue is that he has great Buffs but incredibly low stats making his Strike Attacks hard to sustain. While Hybrid Saiyans have their time in the spotlight, he can’t Buff them as a Tag, making him even less viable in PVP.

EX Pan (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1626767
Strike ATK 159736
Blast ATK 180816
Strike DEF 108403
Blast DEF 113961

Why this Tier?

  • Her Main Ability Boosts Teammate Ki Recovery Speeds and she has several all Damage Buffs.

  • Her stats aren’t great, but that’s not necessary when she’s great on the bench.

Discussion:

EX Pan PUR is a great bench Support for Female Warrior Teams, especially since she’s farmable.

EX Kid Trunks (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1846233
Strike ATK 154822
Blast ATK 209897
Strike DEF 126774
Blast DEF 130635

Why this Tier?

  • He’s grindable and Buffs two stats, but his Z-Ability is color locked, making him only useful on the bench.

  • Low Ki Recovery Speed.

Discussion:

This Fighter’s biggest issue is that he has great Buffs but incredibly low stats making his Blast Attacks hard to sustain. While Hybrid Saiyans have their time in the spotlight, he can’t Buff them as a Tag, making him even less viable in PVP.

EX Raditz (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1678562
Strike ATK 174327
Blast ATK 186983
Strike DEF 91327
Blast DEF 88628

Why this Tier?

  • Has one of the best Z-Abilities for the popular Saiyan Tag.

  • Limited Abilities that focus on unused Tags like Super Warrior.

Discussion:

EX Raditz BLU has a timeless Z-Ability: due to how valuable Health is and how important Saiyans are to every saga so far in this story.

However, his stats and Abilities aren’t competitive and should never be taken off the bench, assuming he makes the Team at all.

EX Android #19 (Red)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1771638
Strike ATK 178428
Blast ATK 126805
Strike DEF 95437
Blast DEF 116928

Why this Tier?

  • Interesting toolkit which includes a ‘Cover: Absorb’ Unique Ability that can stop Enemy combat loops.

  • Great Ki Recovery Speed and Buffs, but the other Unique Ability limits to Teams including an Android #20 variant.

Discussion:

EX Android #19 RED is tougher than he looks, thanks to high Impact Resistance. His play style is most similar SP SSJ Goku GRN.

Android #19’s Cover Ability is effective in stopping Ranged Attacks from landing while Restoring Ki in the process. This control over the combat loop is incredibly powerful, but being limited to Blast Attacks really hurt the practical benefits of this Ability.

EX Android #20 (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1892996
Strike ATK 122899
Blast ATK 166127
Strike DEF 99465
Blast DEF 124325

Why this Tier?

  • His Cover Absorb Unique Ability is pretty good, even if it has limited charges.

  • The double-Buffing Z-Ability means he has staying power on any Android Team bench.

Discussion:

He’s got a great toolkit, even if his stats make him highly vulnerable. If he were to be ground up to seven stars from during the Story Event, he would be even more useful with less of the stat-based drawbacks.

EX Turles (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1902556
Strike ATK 94085
Blast ATK 172959
Strike DEF 120644
Blast DEF 120644

Why this Tier?

  • Farmable to 7 stars through Adventures and EX Scout.

  • Great all Damage Buffs, but he lacks the base stats to truly allow his Attack stand out.

Discussion:

EX Turles GRN is quite similar to SP Turles PUR in that their base stats and Extra Move random Buffs label them as unreliable Offense Fighters. However, his farmability and excellent all Damage Buffs redeem EX Turles GRN, placing him at this tier.

EX Yamcha (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1989609
Strike ATK 230155
Blast ATK 192919
Strike DEF 118013
Blast DEF 122205

Why this Tier?

  • EX Yamcha GRN is a decent offensive Fighter, having good Strike Attack stats and several Buffs to make it better.

  • His Special Move increases his Critical Hit rate and has a 50% chance to inflict Bleed, which is a good standard for Special Moves.

Discussion:

Due to the current state of the Meta, he doesn’t synergize well with other high tier Fighters and so can only be run on Teams if the Player is lacking options. Color-Counter Teams and the powerful Z-Buffs they bring has given this Fighter a better chance being put on the bench of a PVP Team. But since he’s currently not-grindable and is made especially vulnerable to Self-Destruct Damage, he has very limited uses.

EX Master Roshi (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1864788
Strike ATK 138532
Blast ATK 184321
Strike DEF 128685
Blast DEF 128048

Why this Tier?

  • Amazing Unique Ability that Buffs all Damage, Ki Recovery Speed, and Critical rating when paired with the Female Warrior Tag.

  • A Critical-focused toolkit is at its core, ineffective due to the mechanics of the game.

Discussion:

When Teamed up with at least one Fighter from the Female Warrior Tag, EX Master Roshi PUR can put out more Blast Damage than SP Android #17 PUR and more Strike Damage than SP LSSJ Broly BLU.

However, Female Warriors got better and have plenty of alternatives without him.

Tier 4

What makes an EX Fighter ‘Tier 4’?

They have niche abilities that Synergize with their Teams in a very specific way, but their stats and limitations are too difficult to play in the current Meta.

EX 1st Form Cell (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1867871
Strike ATK 148148
Blast ATK 144624
Strike DEF 104772
Blast DEF 85506

Why this Tier?

  • He can be farmed to 7 stars and has Team healing for the Android Tag.

  • Has good all Damage Buffs,  but they are either too specialized or hard to apply.

Discussion:

EX 1st Form Cell YEL has great Synergy with his fellow Androids, but the restrictions of his Abilities really hurt his viability overall: his Team-Heal only affects Androids, his all Damage Buff only works against Piccolo variants, etc.

Despite being an Android bench staple, this doesn’t do much good when Androids aren’t very PVP viable.

EX 1st Form Frieza (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1807338
Strike ATK 159736
Blast ATK 177484
Strike DEF 127437
Blast DEF 112062

Why this Tier?

  • Has great Synergy with Frieza Force Tag through his all Damage Buffs and Z-Ability.

  • Average all around stats and below average Main Ability.

Discussion:

EX 1st Form Frieza YEL requires an EX Zarbon BLU and EX Dodoria GRN as Teammates to be worth anything, but his stats and Abilities don’t warrant that since his stats especially are worse than his SP variants in the game.

EX Cabba (Green)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2131683
Strike ATK 158960
Blast ATK 207564
Strike DEF 123539
Blast DEF 127913

Why this Tier?

  • The balance gave his stats a major Boost.

  • His move set is extremely limiting.

Discussion:

This Fighter would be a great Support if all his moves weren’t tied Vegeta variants or the God of Destruction Champa Saga (S).

EX Mercenary Tao (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2010714
Strike ATK 210361
Blast ATK 156531
Strike DEF 118532
Blast DEF 122712

Why this Tier?

  • The balance gave his stats a major Boost and even improved his Z-Ability to make it more viable.

  • His toolkit is primarily focused on Critical Bonuses which isn’t a very useful stat beyond Boosting the Team’s overall power level when Soul Boosting.

Discussion:

The way Critical Damage works in Dragon Ball Legends makes it not worth the resources put into improving that stat. This means that for Fighters whose entire toolkit revolves around Critical are by default less useful in Team Building.

EX Teen Trunks (Yellow)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1518145
Strike ATK 176095
Blast ATK 146739
Strike DEF 102753
Blast DEF 103775

Why this Tier?

  • Farmable to 7 stars, he has Team heal and a solid Ki Recovery Buff through his Extra Move.

  • Below average base stats and limited Unique Abilities.

Discussion:

Outside of his Buffs to counter the Frieza Force Tag, EX Teen Trunks YEL is best used for his Hybrid Saiyan Teammate healing. His low stats make him difficult to bring to a match; luckily, his Z-Ability could have some staying power within Yellow Team Builds for PVE.

Tier 5

EX 1st Form Frieza (Blue)
Explanation

Stats

HP 1578529
Strike ATK 176095
Blast ATK 176086
Strike DEF 107377
Blast DEF 108456
  • This version of Frieza is a good all around unit, having decent stats in all areas.

  • He has buffs to both strike and blast attacks which give him some form of offensive viability.

  • He also supports the strike attacks of BLUE units like SP LSSJ Broly which is an excellent ability.

EX 3rd Form Frieza (Purple)
Explanation

Stats

HP 2135924
Strike ATK 128298
Blast ATK 164347
Strike DEF 94920
Blast DEF 140963

Although he has horrible stats in all areas, EX 3F Frieza PUR causes the enemy to receive more blast damage through his main ability and synergizes well with SP Vegeta PUR due to his Z-Ability which makes him viable as a sub/bench unit.
