  • SP Perfect Cell YEL is an offensive powerhouse with a drawable Ultimate Move that has the chance to inflict Faint and tons of Damage Buffs.
  • His Enemy Card sealing Unique Ability, Cover: Rescue, and Enemy Cover Debuff also make him hard to take out, or defend against.

  • Dictionaries should replace the word “tank” ’s definition with SP Android #17 PUR’s toolkit. His Cover makes his Defense absurdly good, to the point he can easily survive against even Rising Rushes. Also, his Extra Move Boosts his Defense whenever it nullifies attacks.

  • His Offense is situational, but he can potentially inflict considerable Damage if his Unique Abilities gets taken advantage of in the right way. Also, his Main Ability effectively Boosts the Damage output of the whole Team by inflicting an Attribute Downgrade to the opponent’s Team.

  • His Damage output remains consistently high throughout the Fight despite him having Crisis Effects, whose however also Boost his Strike Damage, as opposed to his initial Boosts that only increase his Blast Damage. On top of that, his Blast Card ki cost reduction makes his Combos longer. Overall, he’s top notch Offensively.

  • Just like basically any other strong Android, he’s quite durable. Not only has he great Defense, but he also recovers Health each time he switches in depending on how many of his allies have suffered defeat up to that point. Truly a lone wolf.

Discussion

The addition of SP Android #13 BLU to the Core makes wonders for this Team. SP Android  #14 GRN was recently added to the Core, but the trucker hat guy has taken over for multiple reasons. Firstly, he fits the color wheel much better, as the current one has two colors covered, while the previous only had one.

Secondly, the current Meta requires you to have a strong Blue in multiple occasions, as the most annoying Tanks in the current Meta mostly are Red -- facing SP Vegito RED without a way to counter him is like trying to destroy a rock by punching it.

Last but not least, he fits perfectly with the Team’s deck, as opposed to SP Android #14 GRN who has some issues fitting in a Blast-centric Team, despite him having the means to dispose of Blast Cards initially.

Overall, Androids are now a much more coherent Team with better answers to the current Meta. While SP Android #14 GRN is not optimal, he can certainly be used when required. However it seems that most Teams have a top tier Purple that can eat him up -- God Ki, Fusion Warrior, Vegeta Family, Hybrid Saiyan, and even opposing Android.

SP Android #17 PUR and SP Perfect Cell YEL remain staples, with the former being arguably one of the best Tanks in the game, and the latter still being able to inflict tons of Damage, especially against all those tasty Purple Fighters in the current Meta.

Alternate Core Members

Despite that he provides nice Damage Boosts for the whole Team, he can’t replace SP Android #17 PUR on the Core because of the latter’s unfathomable Tankiness.

Other than his Support, he can inflict good Damage thanks to his Main Ability, that allows him to concatenate a lot of Cards in a single Combo if used properly, which is also good for farming Dragon Balls to gain a Rising Rush.

His Strike Damage output is amazing and he’s very durable, however he just fits worse into the Team than any of the Core Fighters. While his “Obliterating Power” Unique Ability permits him to swap Blast Cards for Strike Cards, him having to handle a Deck filled with Blast Cards is still not ideal. This forces him to be switched out continuously, which is not always possible with this Team's substitution counts rising with each Cover ability activated.
